Things look much better now that I'm not so jet legged. The whininess of the previous entries is embarrassing. Today we went and got our permits to work in Rashadia, the Palestinian refugee camp where I will be teaching English and photography. I'm missing pretty much everything I should have, I have far less in my checking account than I thought, I have not managed to find a subletter, nothing takes credit cards, and there are about a million things I have to buy here I cannot afford :/ still. Found $10 dollars walking to campus with Julie this morning; she to her internship's orientation and me to FedEx to send last minute passport photos for my trip to Lebanon (hopefully that works out ok. Soooo I went to the doctor's Sunday. On jo's advice i called the free nhs helpline who basically told me I'd be an idiot if I boarded a plane and didn't get it checked out first. So I went to the walk-in clinic they gave me via taxi.

My hotel couldn't get my debit card to charge so they told me to walk a mile (in the rain!) to get to an ATM. They drew me an incredibly crude map of Middle of Nowhere, England.
